How to enable Developer options and USB debugging on Android

Developer options are hidden by default on modern Android.

1. Open Settings > About phone.
2. Tap Build number seven times and confirm your screen lock.
3. Go to Settings > System > Developer options (the path varies slightly by maker).
4. Turn on USB debugging, or Wireless debugging on Android 11 and later, and approve the computer when prompted.

Turn debugging off when you are finished, and never approve unknown computers.
